It should be noted that I did not buy this with the purpose to cinch my waist. The cincher has cured me of my lower back problems! It also has retained its shape through many many many wearings. I put it through the wash and line-dried it and it's as good as the day I got it. I am very pleased with this!
There are, however, two little things:
1. You can't wear smooth fitted clothes over this because the ribs will show, and
2. I wish it came in an even smaller size, so if I actually did want to cinch my waist, this hasn't done its job.
